This week, we learn AI leaders held an invite-only summit in Miami to hash out the challenges and opportunities of rolling out AI-powered technology in the market. It is harder than you think. Separately, Taiwanese manufacturer Oshima Co. said it has a new fabric inspection device that finds defects on the manufacturing line.
Finally, Digital Wave Technology and ChannelEngine said they’re creating a strategic partnership designed to help brands and retailers accelerate their growth via more integrated solutions.
Invite-Only Agentic AI Summit Held in Miami
A premier, invitation-only summit is convening 300 founders, investors and operators for conversations surrounding the real-world deployment of autonomous AI systems, also known as agentic AI.
Called Agentic Day Miami, the summit on Monday was hosted by AllmyAi, which runs a platform for agentic AI workflows, the company said in a statement. It is the first of a three-event series that aims to discuss how to accelerate the agentic AI economy.
Agentic AI, in essence, is an AI that can operate on its own with little to no human supervision. The event promises to offer an unfiltered look at where Agentic AI is headed in the fields of commerce, crypto, and finance.
“One afternoon. One room. The right people. No open registration. No filler content. Just high-signal conversations, real deal flow, and the connections that move industries forward,” the website for the event read.
AllmyAi said the curated guest list is capped at 300, with an emphasis on quality over quantity.
“Agentic Day is where the builders, investors, and operators shaping the next wave of autonomous AI come together, not to talk about the future, but to build it,” Lalla Asmaa Alaoui, Sovereign Infrastructure Architect and host, Agentic Day Miami, said in the statement.
Finding All the Defects
Taiwanese manufacturer Oshima Co. has rolled out the “EagleAi” fabric inspection machine. The machine uses visual recognition technology, a system that the company said is capable of detecting, mapping, and classifying over 20 distinct categories of fabric defects across woven, knit and elastic textiles.
During the inspection process, the company said EagleAi generates comprehensive structured data, which includes precise defect coordinates, area analysis and quality grading via a “Four-Point System.” Oshima said in a statement that the device also performs detailed color deviation measurements using industry standards, which provides manufacturers with highly technical reports exportable in multiple formats.
EagleAi serves as the foundation for a fully integrated manufacturing ecosystem designed for high-demand production environments, such as fast fashion and premium sportswear. The company said the system stands out by bridging the gap between inspection and the subsequent stages of garment production. But that’s not all.
By feeding data into the company’s Smart Factory Platform, a cloud-based IoT management system, the machine allows factory managers to monitor production lines in real time, track job orders and synchronize alerts across global factory sites. The company said the digital infrastructure ensures that defect data is not siloed, but remains accessible for high-level decision-making and integration with existing ERP systems.
Creating a Unified Solution
Digital Wave Technology and ChannelEngine teamed up to create a strategic partnership aimed at helping brands and retailers accelerate their global marketplace growth. By combining ChannelEngine’s connectivity to over 1,300 online marketplaces with Digital Wave Technology’s AI-native One Platform, the companies said in a joint statement that the collaboration offers a unified solution for automating digital commerce operations.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
This integration addresses the growing complexity of managing localized content and operational workflows, ensuring a seamless flow of information from internal systems to live listings while maintaining high standards of data governance.
The companies said the partnership leverages advanced AI capabilities, including generative and agentic AI through WaveAgent, to automate data enrichment and optimize product content. Unlike traditional management tools, the One Platform serves as an intelligent foundation that continuously activates data across various channels.
When paired with ChannelEngine’s global reach, this approach significantly reduces manual effort and improves accuracy. Executives from both companies said this synergy allows organizations to scale rapidly and compete more effectively by providing a trusted data foundation alongside expansive marketplace connectivity.
